water spots
 
brand new polished alum. valve covers (hardin) looked great til I blew a hose and now I have water marks or spot on them and they will not come off I've tried waxing frenzy, even tried 3m compound it doesn't even touch it any suggestions in getting the water marks off.

the best i have found is this stuff:...
use the deoxizer first, then the purple stuff...

Vinegar or LimeAway works great on hard water deposits. Try it! Just be sure to wax afterwards. :drink:

Try 'FLITZ', you can get it at any boat store $6-$10, also Meguires cleaner wax works for me sometimes when nothing else will.
