Re: Ugh... need 2" of Lid clearance
where does it make contact ? could you just cut out an area where it touches ? I not saying a whole in the hatch .. but some hatches have layers or extended areas ....

Re: Ugh... need 2" of Lid clearance
Yea the hatch is pretty thick... buy 2"? It is making contact on the air-cleaner (I can reduce the size but I am afraid to choke it out... and the top of the exhaust elbows..

Re: Ugh... need 2" of Lid clearance
you can go with a larger diameter Flame arrestor and get the same Volume ... one of the Oval billet ones ? On the elbows ...pain in the arse but maybe relieve 1" in the cover and raise the whole cover 1" ? you might have to make a spacer .. all the way around ? or maybe take advantage for more air into the Engine Room ...then you got more noise though .....m

Noise and loss of the wonderful ladies favorite spot is the result of a scoop :( Good idea on the 1" spacer and 1" slot cut... didnt think about splitting it... any other ideas?

Re: Ugh... need 2" of Lid clearance
Ok if I get a shorter flame arrestor I think it will clear.... but the exhaust elbows still need an 1".... how much room do I need for cooling? I know they are water jacketed but can they be right next to the lid?
