Heavy deep Vs usually cause a lot of slippage. Bravo 4 blades work great and will vastly increase cruise speed (3000 to 3500 rpm).
Just for reference a friend ran a 23 Mirage at just about 5000 with 1.5 gears and got 60/61 mph. I had 25 Mirages at 4800 and 65 mph with 1.5 gears.

Yup my 23 cleavers ran 4900-5000= 50mph GPS. 23 mirages 4100-4200=54 mph GPS. I need to sell the mirages and pick up 21's and i should be about perfect. :drink:

Thanks again for the information.

I have 2 new tachs on order from Summit. They will be in tomorrow. I will re-post as soon as I get a solid RPM reading. The props are a pain to get hooked up.

I think cruise speed and holeshot should improve with Mirage's.

Re: 5200 Rpm 50 Mph??

I am runnin 454 magnums in my Scarab III. The motors were originally 400hp each and I would think they are probably pretty close to that now. I run 23 Mirages and they run great at 58-60. I am repowering now to add a little more punch so we'll see how it goes with a few more ponies. Those clevers just don't cut it for the wave crushers.

I would suggest stayin away from the 4 blade props. They get alot of bite which is tough on the TRS drives. You probably won't have any problems with the 330's but pushing 20 yr old drives is not always the thing to do.

Took the boat out again last night and got 53.6 on the GPS. The boat is a dog out of the hole. If I were to switch to the Mirage props, do I need a certain type for the TRS drives? If not, I could be talked into buying a used set of 23P mirage props........

My boat is slipped on the St. Joe River in Michigan, we had to put anti-fouling paint on the bottom for obvious reasons. That will probably slow it down a bit.

What do you guys think the boat is supposed to run stock? 58 or so?

Thanks.

The props are the same, nothing special. The only thing you may need is a hub kit.
