94 502 running problem?????? help!!! pos vapor lock???
 

I just bought this boat with a blown motor. rebuilt it and ran it for about 10hr. runs great BUT!!!! it seem to have one problem, after you run it for a 1hr or so and stop, shut it off and let it set on a heat soak, sometimes it will not start back up. it acts like it is flooded out ! you have to hold the throttle wfo to get it to start . when it does start it dont black smoke, like it was flooded out or anything. but it will not idle at all ! now this dont happen all the time . just about 90% of the time and only when it is warm. it runs great when cold it runs great the rest of the time .

I had the same problem with my 93 502 MPI the diaphragm in the VST had a small hole in it and it would dump allot of fuel down the vent tube into intake runner #8. this caused a very hard start. Im not sure if the EFI has the same fuel delivery system thou.

not sure if they are the same when it happens it dont act like it is flooded just one cyl. out it act like all 8 are
