battery banks

I am looking for a wiring diagram on how to hookup a 3 bank battery system. I want to have 2 batteries per engine, and 1 battery for the generator. Thanks for any help or advise.

Re: battery banks

Less weight and less mess would be to use just three quality batteries but to be able to combine the engine batteries. You can install a solenoid with a dash button between the two engine batteries to have starting assist, use a fairly large house battery to run all the boat equipment with a manula switch to be able to hook into the starting circuit. Use either a battery isolator or combiner to keep all three charged. The above is very common on quite a few large and medium sized boats. If you are interested in a diagram email me it is quite simple.
