Motec CDI 8 - Offshore Marine Application
 

I'd like to ask an ignition related question.

Has anybody used the Motec CDI-8 standalone CDI coil per cylinder ignition system in an offshore race type application? If so, how did it work out? If so, what did you do to further marinize it?

We have some mechanical fuel injected BB NA race engines, and we would like to get away from all of the clunky distributor related stuff.

The Motec CDI-8 was one system that came to mind. The MSD CPC system was another. Hemi type plug location for us, so stick coils could even be used, without the need for secondary plug leads.
