Over flowing Drive fluid

Last two times out under hard running the port res bottle was overflowing. After shutdown it went back to normal level.
Under 'normal' running it does not do it. Only long WOT runs.
What are your thoughts?

Is this a new condition or setup? If nothing has changed I would suspect you have a bearing in your drive starting to go. How does the fluid and magnet look? I had a similar situation and upon tear down discovered a bad pinion bearing.

same setup for the last 5 summers

could it just be the oil heating up too much?
The cooler line was plugged with milfoil :(

simple one, but have you checked the gasket in the screw on cap? mine fell out while changing fluid and did the exact thing. bought new caps with gaskets in them, problem solved.

this is correct check for gasket as stated above if gasket is there then it sounds like you have a bearing heating up ( first sign of major drive problems)
