liberator boats

looking at the 24 liberator with twin 300x, does anybody know anything about these boats, the way they are built, the performance, are they vacume bagged when being built, the handling , and why is it that a larger skater with the same motors is faster. any feedback on this subject would be greatly appreciated. i cant seem to find out much info on the net from owners. :evilb:

durbin,
Post this question on www.Screamandfly.com .
A fellow over there that goes by "wildman" (I think), is a Florida dealer for them. He has put together some really cool looking and nice running rigs.

Re: liberator boats

i'm looking into buying a liberator myself!! could use some help tho... i'm looking at an '89 211 with a 350 chev, and a 1990 221 with a 454.... i'm favoring the 1990 with the 454 b/c, well, it has the 454 and i kinda dig the styling.... BUT an '87 formula with a bad engine just showed up on ebay which i'm also seriously considering... it's a 24 foot with a single 454 and bravo outdrive... it's cheap and gives me the opportunity to build a killer engine for it... i like the liberator better, but the formula is a formula, built from inception for speed... so i wonder if all things being equal, will i go faster with the 24 foot formula then with the 22 foot libby? i really dig the libby tho.... so what do you all think?

One is a Liberator "brand" the other is a FourWInns"brand" , Liberator "model"
I owned a FourWinns 211 Liberator
Also believe Liberator "brand" are primarily outboards but I could be wrong , I think I was once  :D :D :D

so? does anyone have an opinion on what i should go for? i saw a 211 libby today, but it was in pretty sorry shape, at least for what the guy was asking.... i got pics of the 221 that i'm gonna check out, it looks like it's in amazing shape.... but how do you all think that fairs with a formula 242 LS?
