Re: 32' V-Hull BOW LIFT PROBLEM - 598 BBC 600+ HP HELP OUCH
My X-Dim is about 3" maybe 3 1/2" I took a measurement in the water today. If I drop the drive 2" what will that do give me more bite on the prop ? The prop currently does not cavitate trimmed out. The Corsa is a tuff boat no one knows about them or few people have seen them.

I think you mean that your propshaft is about 3" below the bottom. Thats not your X dim. Your X would be about 18.5"
I would try a 2" spacer and go from there. It will help with bow lift. I installed a 1" deeper spacer and it helped a bunch on my 28 Pantera. Also check for the hook. |

Any used 2" Spacers out there ? or how about a 2" spacer rental to seee how it works out ?

Do a search under Stecz20 and the words Sailor, and 600 doggies. :drink:
Seriously, even a true 600 hp engine isn't a lot for that size boat. It's the same as two stock SBC for horses, and I would expect much over 60 out of that set up. You got a 20% increase in speed. |
Re: 32' V-Hull BOW LIFT PROBLEM - 598 BBC 600+ HP HELP OUCH
If all the basics check out, no hook, tabs up, correct drive trim then a single engine, 598 ci with true 600 total hp in a 31ft deep V may be pretty close to the limit at 62 mph You may need more ci and hp to get that Corsa freed-up
Try emailing the propeller vendors on OSO, they may help you tweek it a bit. any pics?...always liked the euro lines of the 31 Corsa. |
