Trim pump and bypass pressure
 

I have a large tunnel tab on my cat, it works well. The problem is when I come off a big wave the tab can take a big hit. I have cylinders with 2'' pistons. I know that the pump has pressure relief valves. My question is can I soften up the down side so when the tab takes a hit it will allow the relief valve to open and cushion the hit? Which valve is the down (high) side and which way I adjust it to lower the bypass pressure?

Do both cylinders see the same relief valve? I would suck to have one blow off and not the other...

My suspicion is you will need a way to monitor the line pressure and rig it to a solenoid via a momentary contact switch. You may discover that at times the line pressure is lower coming off a wave than it would be at higher speed in chop. Just a thought, a random blow off could be bad when slogging across a cruiser wake. It would be better to have control of bypass.

Bad Dog both cylinders run off one pump. The tunnel flap sees just air most of the time and is fine. but when I come off a big wave and land the tab hits the water it takes a beating, it is at this time that I would like the tab to give a little to help absorb the shock. After it comes up I can readjust. Ant ideas?
