External trim indicators I Need help
 

The starboard indicator will not move with the drive. The cable seems fine and was working fine last friday. On the water saturday it would not move at all. Can I safely remove the set screw on the drive side, remove the assembly and add some lubricant to the inside of the cable itself? any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
