Stupid Question

Has merc stopped building the 500 EFI I left working for a dealer a year ago so im not sure if theyhave what year did they stop ???????

after a couple of responces Ill let all know why I ask

Yes, Merc did stop building the 500EFI.
I believe 2005 was the last year you could get them new.

I was thinking that maybe they replaced the 500EFI with the 525EFI because of the upcoming emission standards that will apply to anything under 500HP. Kinda puts the 500EFI right on the borderline, so they bumped it up to 525HP.

didnt know they stopped making them I know as of last year you could still order them...havent worked for a dealer since october so lost track of it.....someone told me its been several years but I know we could get fountians with them as late as last year
