TRS to Bravo

I'm looking a a few older boats. 27 Magnum or a 24-28 Pantera. If the boat came with a TRS drive and the drive was replaced with a Bravo 1 would the drive be at the correct height?

Re: TRS to Bravo

i think the bravo is a inch shorter or so ,but to do the conversion you would have to redo the transom and cut a new hole,so you could put it where ever you want, just converted my boat to bravo from trs

Re: TRS to Bravo

It would be easier to install a Konrad in place of the TRS. I went from a Bravo type to Konrad ACE this past winter.

Re: TRS to Bravo

I have a 24 Pantera with a Bravo for sale in the classifieds if you are interested. I am ready to make someone a really great deal. But to answer the real post the standard bravo is 2"shorter than the TRS. It is often an advantage with newer propeller designs to have a slightly higher drive so the swap usually will improve the overall performance a little. It also depends on if the person who does the swap goes by the manufacturers recomended height for any drive installation.
