Dry Exhaust and Cam Choice

I have a general question. I know that with wet exhaust, cam choice is limited due to reversion problems. But what about dry exhaust? Can any cam be run with dry exhaust without fear of reversion, or do you still need to be careful about what you choose? I'm aware that dry exhaust does not mix water into the exhaust, so I at least know that much about it.

Thanks

With dry exhaust there is no fear of reversion. Run whatever works best for your engine.
Buy ear plugs. :D

Many dry exhausts dump water thru a tube located inside the tailpipe. It effectively dumps the water where the tailpipe ends to the atmosphere.

On these, yes, it is still possible to have water reversion. Takes big motors and big cams to do it, but it happens.

If you dump water in side the end of the tail you are not truly dry. And yes that can cause an issue. Also if you tips touch the water, that can also be an issue.
