Bravo 1, How Mutch HP??

Been reading all of these threads on bravo ones. How mutch HP / TQ will a stock bravo take, what are the most effective upgrades to make? Ratio is determined in the upper gearset, correct? how does the weight of the boat affect the longevity of the drive, does the weight matter in just the holeshot, or does it tax the drive all of the time? I am in the process of building a turbo motor for my old heavy sea-ray, Thanks for your help

Weight can affect longevity. Hp wise a standard bravo one should hold 500 Hp with no issues if not beat on or abused. The heavier bravo's can hold even more. On any of them I would run a drive shower. The x, xr & xz bravos are all just heavier duty versions of the bravo one. The xr & xz drives have larger prop shafts & a bit heavier driveline. If you have a standard bravo one it can be made better. We can offer imco & maxworx upgrades to do it. Let me know if we can help you.. Jamie / Lakeside 570-639-2628
