MSD 6M-2 help
 

Ok i am posting this up for my dad because he is a noob at computers...anyway we have a 23 foot mach 1 that now has a 550hp 454. We have been running a msd coil and wires. Today we bought and installed the marine ignition box and we have no fire. There is no power to the coil and no power from the purple wire coming out of the amplifier that connects to the small red wire from the box. I have ran out of things to check...if anyone has had this problem or anyone who can point me in the right direction would be very helpful. thanks....oh and the boat was running beautifully the day before.

I just changed my box the red wire is ahot wire do you have the complete wiring harness, if you want I will check my set up thursday and post since its 1030pm

thanks for the posts guys! i called the msd support team and they couldnt tell me what was wrong...so i went to talk to ray at force 10 and he told me the two wires that went to the positive side of the coil have to go to the red wire, which now makes lots of sence. We turned the key after that and bam instant fire :D . i dunno if its just me or not, but it sounds like it has a deeper tone. Air Time, did you notice any difference when you put on the box? i was reading somewhere that this guy gained 30 hp from it...seems a little unrealistic but just seeing how much of a difference it makes. thanks
