prop nut torque ??

Anyone know (off the top of their head), the proper torque for the prop nut on a bravo 1 drive.
Thanks.

I think some merc. booklets call for 75, although some say the service manual calls for 55.

The service manual (#28) say 55lb-ft or 75Nm. for the propeller locknut, then align tabs with grooves.

I'm gonna get lots of flack for this, but: Throw that damn tab washer away. So many folks don't get it seated properly and lose a prop or cause more problems by running sloppy. Buy a few new prop locknuts and use a new one every three times you remove the prop. Crank it VERY snug by feel. You will never lose a prop and it will be just as tight when you go to remove it the next time. --- Jer
