82 ish Mercruiser wiring info wanted.
Excuse my igno but I only got it the way it is and I'm trying to make things right. Someone has made a few bypass jumper / wire nut decisions. I have a good electrical knowledge and can easily make it work but the question is this mercruiser has what I think are standard mercury plugs on it, is there something somewhere that says what wire color is supposed to go to what or do different boat mfg's pick their own wire uses. I'm assuming you can buy new connectors/plugs/pig tails, what ever people call'em, and what not.
Thanks. Jeff. |

Hummm, so this is a standard color code. Thanks I can compare. These merc motors are all "plug and pray" compatible?

Re: 82 ish Mercruiser wiring info wanted.
I have some older Merc diagrams. Engine and instrument (dash gauges). I will look for them.
