Always friggin' something!

Took the boat out today for the first time this year (long story). Ran great, but had a problem with the trim on one drive. The port drive would lower with trim switch, but no raise. Would go up fine if I used the trailer button, so the mechanicals are OK. I'm thinking it's a bad switch/wiring. Any thoughts? Might be a good time to add trim on the throttle - been planning to do that anyway.

Always something! This sport is worse than drinkin' :D

Test/check your trim harness connections at the pump.

You can ohm out the trim switch to insure that it is functioning.

It could be a loose or faulty connection.

I'm going to mess with it Monday, I think. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll take a look.

The worse thing for a boat is to let it sit.

Typically (I did say typically - not 100%) trim limit switch on drive. Very common.

I hear ya! Hoping to have a buyer so that someone can actually use it.

So where is this gizmo and how do I replace it?

Have someone hold the switch while you "tap" the appropriate trim solenoid. Probably just got a bit sticky from non-use. This happens rather frequently here, but the wife and I ARE getting along in years. --- Jer
