Need expert advice on set up. SHOULD I RAISE THE OUTERS SO THE PROP SHAFTS ARE EVEN WITH BOTTOM LIKE CENTER ??? (originally set up with quad 200's - outers were 20" shafts and inners were 25" shafts_

37 Midnight Express
triple 225 optis (outers 25 center 30")
24" bracket
12,500lbs w/approx 100g fuel
22 Bravo ones
5900 rpm
top speed 56
cruise 4000 41mph
4500 45mph
(Good all around performance)

fuel tanks -middle of boat stern to console /console to bow and side tanks console to bow.(1,000 gallons-don't use capacity)
Boat is stern heavy.

Tried Mirages, Bravo Ones and Rev fours. 58mph w/ 23 Rev fours @ 5400 RPM
sluggish hole shot

Thanks Tony

Re: outboard height

IMHO the outers should be raised. But you will get LOTS more knowledgeable input from the "screamandfly" site. Try there and then get back with results, cause I'm kinda interested myself (being an old "clamp-on" guy). --- Jer

Re: outboard height

While you might get a little more speed with the outside engines raised, in rough water or running hard in beam seas, the outside engines will clear the water a lot, and beat the hell out of the shafts and gears. I would leave it alone.

The King has spoken.

Thank you Brownie, I was thinking about calling you at Stainless.

Thanks again, Tony
