TRS and Speedmaster Lowers

Does a TRS lower unit mate up with any of the Speedmaster lowers? I heard a #3 and TRS will bolt up at the upper, but I'm clueless as to the lower.

I've got a 1 1/2" spacer that I need to move and need to know what other applications it may fit.

No

The old Speedmaster II used a TRS upper gear case. Speedy II" were @ 2"deeper than a TRS. Your 1.5" spacer would be needed if someone wanted to put a TRS lower in place of the Speedy II.

...FYI, Speedy III and TRS do not mate up in any way.

Biggus - thanks for the info.
It baffles me as to why anyone would ever need a spacer for a TRS as they sit so deep in the water to begin with.

Thanks for correcting me on the #3 vs. TRS. Is there any SSM drive that mates to TRS?

Yes- as posted above- the II uses the same gimble and upper. They're long gone and not many were made to start with. No parts at all- anywhere

If anyone needs TRS Drives, I have one complete LH with 75 easy lake hours and one RH Upper Case and Lower Case with all of the shafts, needs a rebuild. Both look new. PM for details.

I PM you back, infact I got PMs from 6 people. Still alot of TRS's out there. Best to have a set of backups. Hard to find ones that don't look like they went to war. No Disappointments.
