Liquid filled compass. What oil?
 

What type of oil or fluid is used in a liquid filled compass?
And where can I buy it?
I broke the seal loose to powder coat the trim ring and need to refill it with the correct oil.

I believe it is glycerin.

Drugstore medical grade non-yellowing mineral oil.

I've seen alcohol and glycerin.
My Ritchie is full of alcohol.
