bow lift
IS thier any mods too lift the bow, my 27 Seebold seems to hug the water at WOT at the bow. Without Shorties -cant afford. My tank is pulled, leaking, installing a new one, seems too big and too far front, maybe making a smaller one and sticking it further back? was 95" long more than half in front...Have new motor, about 500 hp custom built w/ bravo- runs 68-79 with 23 mirage -but I still think bow is dug in too foward - yes I have play with the trim constainlly with no avail....ANy help appreciated...
forgot to mention, 7.5 inches from bottom of boat to center of shaft. |
Re: bow lift
Only thing I can think of is have a lab finnish done on the prop. When they do that have them put more cup on the prop. Or try another type of prop.

Re: bow lift
yup ... get with a prop shop .... they can dictake more bow lift .... maybe B1 props ..4 blade .. hydromotives are more stern lifting but they have a new round ear prop ..... what about a hook in the bottom ? ...
Throttle-up or BB Blades .... http://www.bblades.com/ or www.throttle-up.com |
Re: bow lift
Try a rounded ear prop. It will give you what you want.

Re: bow lift
Moving weight aft is a proven factor, no doubt a good prop will help but getting the nose lighter with do just as much and maybe more. It did for me.

Re: bow lift
a 27 w/ a single that runs 68-79(big range) with 23 mirage is pretty darn good. Count your blessings and save your money for gas. :drink:
