Re: Starter
There is some guy who sells some on E-Bay that he takes off of brand new mercruiser engines for some reason, I forget why but it seemed to be a good reason. Anyway, it was a Hi torque for a 502 and I paid less then $100 for it and it even came with bolts. It has been about a year and so far so good.

I just bought 2-3HP Hi Torque stsrters from Nations Starter:

Re: Starter
I've had good luck so far (few years, handful of starters) from www.dbelectrical.com
Note: I always suggest getting new bolts with every starter change. Cheap insurance to keep away from breaking a bolt in the block. Happens to a lot of people. |
I would like a starter that wont crack the housing before i finally get to use the boat. on number 3 so far. shims good no water in cylinders . maybe its the bolts. never came across this before with other boats. spent the day legs in the air head buried in the bilge. ahhhh high performance whats next?:lolhit:
