So the crack is about where the threading stops in the nut? And goes all away around?

If the springs are shot then this has allowed the valves to bounce and hammer the valve seats in the heads. If this has been done your just letting HP blow out the exhaust pipes.

It wouldnt hurt.Freshen the valve job ,ck guides,set up height new springs,maguflux for cracks,ck surface on the heads and block put some good fel-pros on it.

But if ya go that far I would rering and bearrings,its a never ending cycle !!! :drink:
