Cut A 6x9 Templet And Install Some 5.25 Component Speakers In It.

I used to have the expensive name-brand one but found that they don't last any longer.(3-4 years) I got on e-bay and bought a few PYLE amplifiers (1000W and 500W) and speakers(2 X 5.5" + 2 X 6"X9" + 2 X 12" subs). They make the 6"X9" and honestly, they sound really good and the price was right. Warranty come with the lot but at the price that everything cost me, if any components would go wrong, I'd take it out, float test it and buy another one. A friend of mine did spend $2400.00 for his pionner and I spend only $425.00 for mine and got more components than he got. I don't need high-fi stereo on my boat (got that at home) but I want it and love it loud and so far it passed the test.

I do a lot of 12v marine sound systems many diff. brands and $ but for my money I use clarion cm1625 6.5 coaxial and cmcx7.1 7" coaxial I also use what i call the no hot spot idea were you use more speakers spread around so you here the same vol. everywere no matter how low or high you play it most boats (27" to 35" ) came with 4 spk. i would put in 8 speakers and on 10" vented down firing box

If you are going with a 6x9 I would go with these.

Personally I would make a template and go with 6.5's
great speakers.

DC Gold, formerly Babb, make a very durable and great sounding 6x9. Completely water proof. You can can squirt them with a hose if you want.

2 Attachment(s)
I have Memphis Audio Marine speakers and amp. One pair of 6X9's and one pair of 8" coaxial (round). Used a 10" Diamond Audio competiton sub in a vented box and placed it in the port storage compartment. Used Memphis' Marine Bell amp (hybrid 5 channel) to power the 6X9's, 8's and the sub. Sounds great!! :D

I have been using Memphis for about 10 years with VERY good results!
