Re: 502 ram jet cam

What is involved with marinizing it besides changing the distributor, and adding closed cooling (for the alum. heads)? does it already have stainless exhaust valves?

Thanks,
Frank

Yes it does, and the cam will work in some applications but not all, according to what type of wet exhaust, you have. It will work in all dry exhaust systems, such as Lightning, very well. Closed cooling for salt water, opinions vary for fresh water, i have had no trouble running aluminum heads, or anyone else I know in 10 years, and I have owned every major manufacturers set of heads.

I'm definately thinking a bigger + better oil pan is needed.

Also, remember to do the bypass psi valve things to in filter pad. Many threads here on this.

Re: 502 ram jet cam

of course all.... my point simply that i was thinking when my 502 mag mpi's time out, just buying acouple of these and swapping out whats nec... just seemed a clean and simple way to go for a solid known commodity thats virtually plug and play... i mean... all new good parts , good power... how can you hate it at that price...
