SBC Cam Question
 

Hey guys,
I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving. I have a 23' Wellcraft Nova with the 260 Mercruiser and want to swap out the cam. I have installed a new Eldelbrock Performer intake and carb. I will be putting thru-hull exhaust on it this spring. I want to get more power and a nice lope at Idle. Can anyone out there help me pick a good over the shelf cam. I will be swapping heads in the future to a set of vortec. If you need anymore info please ask. Thanks!

I have a crane cam in mine,I am building a different engine and will be using a roller cam,Mine is on a 112lca [email protected] and I think around 470" lift,I can get specs if interested,I had it in a 260 with dart200 heads,boat ran well but not enough cam for a 200cc head.

Thanks for the reply. I would love to get the specs on the cam please. I will be changing the heads to the vortec heads probably next year. My ultimate goal is 325hp out of this combonation. Any other help to reach my goal would be helpful also. Thanks again!

I have a perfect set of Vortec heads I just took off my 6.2 sitting on my shelf.
