Gas overflowing

My uncle has a 22' 2006 Stingray and after starting to fill the tank with fuel it erupts all over the place. The tank is NOT full. Any thought as to what this problem is?

Mine did the samthing this summer and was told fuel got into the vent tube and blocked it off from some ruff riding. After a ruff run one weekend it went back to normal.

Every gas nozzle and every boat seem to be different. Start out pumping REAL slow. Try inserting the nozzle at different angles too. Sometime I can stick the nozzle in and crank it up full blast, other times it keeps clicking off.

I had the fuel vent get plugged up on my Father-in-laws Rinker one time. I don't know which insect it is, but something built a mud nest right over the screen. I scraped it out with a little srew driver and no more burping fuel fill.

I used to have a Stingray 220SX. This is a problem with them. The venting is inadequate. Run the pump at a lower speed and when he thinks he's getting close to full, put it on the lowest speed possible.

check the vent line, they put a loop in them to keep water out of the tank.Mine had a kink, took me 2 years to find it !

Guns never seem to ride ruff like the AT's so I can't really help you out here. But Rich fills his tank pretty often so he should know! ;)
