Hey Guys;
Does anyone out there have any experience with high performance engine builders in Lake of the Ozarks ?

I want to re-build my HP 500s, to 540 or 555, and want to keep it local for follow-up needs.

If I call a couple Service Managers, I'd expect them to say "they're" the best. (maybe they are...maybe not)

Any un-biased experience out there for quality high performance builder in Lake of the Ozarks ?

Jack...there are only 2.

Gene at Lightning marine in Sunrise beach and Boyd Racing out of Norman Oklahoma.

Boyd did my blower motors. If I was wanting N/A or EFi Gene is the man. Also a real nice guy.

I highly recommend Gene at Lightning! A friend has been running a pair of his 1000 blower motors for a few seasons with no issues at all. Incredible attention to detail, local to the lake and a great guy to boot!

Gene took my 502 mpi's and made them into 540 carbs. I only have about 15 hours on the engines, but they run really great. I'll know more after next season.

Try speaking to Doug at BJ Marine. Very knowledgeable with Mercury Engines. He fixed problems on our Race Boat that six other mechanics could not find or trouble shoot. We then went onto to win the second race of the OSS Worlds.

Todd that was mentioned in an earlier post does the machining and dyno testing for Gene @ Lightning Performance.

I recommend Gene, Lightening Performance. I have been running a couple of his 572 blower motors in my Cigarette for a couple of years now.
He is honest, he tells you like it is, no BS, gets the work done as promised.
