Excalibur Hull ID Location

A friend of mine is looking at a 24ft excalibur. The boat is a 1982 single engine TRS drive. The price is right but there is no Hull ID stamped in the transome of the boat.

Was this put in a different location on these boats?\

The boat is in Canada is it possiable they did not stamp it because Hull id's were not required in Canada?

If it was never given a hull ID what steps would need to be taked to get it an ID here in the states.

Check Under The The Console Or It Could Be In The Cabin On The Roof Under The Lining.
