502 Dimensions

Could someone give me a couple dimensions for a 502. I'm going to make a couple shipping crates before I pull the engines and would like some help with the dimensions. Mine do not have the offshore motor mounts. I need the center to center dimension for the motor mount bolts. I also need the vertical dimension needed to clear the oil pan from the motor mount.

Any help will be appreciated.

Re: 502 Dimensions

I made a pallet to transport a 502. The engine mount holes on it are 22.5" apart and they were bolted to a pair of 6x8's (standing on the tall side). That was enough clearance for the pan. The entire pallet wound up being 33" x 33", but I don't think that would give enough clearance to make a box around the engine. It might be a good idea to use a standard shipping pallet as a base, attach timbers to it as a base for the engine and then just build the box around the engine.
