Trim Tab Indicator Install

What's involved with installing a set of tab indicators? I looked on Trick Marine, and they have an indicator kit for $180. Does this have everything included, cables & all? What's involved in the install? I assume drilling holes in the transom to attach the cable, and obviously cutting a sizeable hole in the dash as well. Any suggestions? The boat is a 24 Superboat with K-Planes, the big cast(?) aluminum jobs.

Thanks!

no cables. they are 33c series. yes big hole in dash. use plenty of silicone around thru hull holes in transom.
merc style indicator set ups for drives around 250 each kit.
use a good cable, and dont over tighten the back plate on the indicator panel, they indicators them selves slide easieer that way,.

Bo from Monsta pretty well summed it up. There's basically three components to mechanical indicators.

1. Indicator [on dash]
2. Cables
3. Actuators [on tabs or drives]

If you need to any information on installation, just give us a call. No obligation.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like it will probably run about $500 or so for parts. I have it on my to do list. The first two things are to complete the hydraulic steering and get the prop fixed up. Indicators will come after that. I think I'm ordering the steering kit in Late Feb, sop that wil get it moving.

Thanks again!
