bmax
does the bmax use a bravo gimble?
If so who makes or which heavy duty gimble do you recomend? |
Re: bmax
The BMax drive will bolt to a standard Merc gimbal/bell housing with an XR carrier bearing in it.
But they do make their own transom assy with integrated steering and HD Gimbal assy. |

Re: bmax
Yes, There is the Konrad option. If I was going to start over with a re-rig I would choose the Konrad drive package. They boast a 0% failure record.

Re: bmax
I guess the XR hp bravo style is the best merc offers .Thats what I have .Theres another thread talking about the helment wear on a high HP aplication. But in a bravo style what other choise do ya have?
The Imco one I ve seen break also. |
Re: bmax
b max makes theres own gimbal. if using a b-max drive i would definately suggest using there gimbal. moving the weak link from your other thread.
i would not use thres drive on a stock gimbal. also imco makes there own gimbal assy. which i believe is merc style with improved helmut and ring as well as a stronger cats transom plate. good luck in your endeavor. |
Re: bmax
Strip,
is there a way to keep check on the gimble or the helmet? It would be nice to know what the actual condition is of the piviot points ect., etc. At least you might discover a wearing issue before it becomes a serioius problem/accident |
