Engine Starts And Stalls After Sitting For 1 Hour
 

Hi Everybody,

Here Is The Deal,i Was Running My Boat Today With 1997 454 Efi Mpis,everything Was Running Great,i Went To Lunch For About An Hour,started The Boat,they Both Started Up Fine,i Left The Dock And With In 3 Minutes The Right Engine Stalled,i Tryed To Restart,it Would Just Die,so I Waited Like 10 Minutes And It Started Up And Ran Great The Rest Of Day!!! Can Anybody Give Me Some Feedback?

maybe something with the fuel system. maybe something hung up in the pick up or anti siphon valve in the tank.

It might be time to replace the coil. Not saying it is the problem, but by the symptoms you're describing sounds like that may be what it is. The coil will work until it heats up and becomes too hot,----everthing is working fine until the engine suddenly dies---usually the result of a bad coil.

right engine...vapor lock...happened to me alot the my 7.4L mpi's
