without damaging them......or where can i buy new ones?
sending them out to get chrome plated. on second thought, do i need to take them out? plastic can be chrome plated to. |
Re: anyway to get these out?
Just pry themout from the edge, you will have to replace them. They are about a 1/16" thick and just the puffy plastic sticker material.

Re: anyway to get these out?
They just snap in. If I recall from when I took mine out, the red part is a stick on emblem that is stuck to a plastic cap that snaps to the cap on the other side of the knob. 1 side has a male 1/8" tit, other side a female part. Just a friction fit.

Re: anyway to get these out?
Yes, they will have to be removed for plating. The handles get dipped in acid during the process.

Re: anyway to get these out?
Very easy to remove but most likely will need new ones. No big deal and very cheap. Mine were adhesive backed and the button itself was kind of a spongy rubber material.

I do not have a source.
I shouldn't be saying this but, maybe, US1 Fountain. I know he's a machinist or has the capabilities. Jerry, What do you think? |
