525efi Rebuild ?'s
 

Have 525's with 290 hrs and in those hrs. I have about 110 hrs with the whipples on them.I had 2 pistons do some damage to the head when the rings broke and shot out through the exhaust.Been told need to rebuild but just honing the cylinder walls since their not that bad.It also looks like the head gasket was leaking so i'm going to use komatics this time .I want to do both motors but the first estimate is a little pricey for my wifes' wallet at this time.What is the average rebuild cost from tear down to dynoed or estimate just on parts.Don't need new heads just some repairs to them.Thanks in advance.

i would guess 5 to6k per motor, but if the motor is apart I would have both blocks done also, to make sure everything is perfect.

I thought you were getting home boy specials like Russ, We even custom paint. We can turn those turbo diesels into real gas motors.
