documentation in Fl, need some help??
 
not really sure where to start on this, but here goes, can someone explain to me how it works and what are the pro's and cons? i have heard from a few that if u choose to go the doc. route then u dont have to pay state tax's? not sure if this is true or not but i would like some imput on this if someone knows how it works and wheather its a good option or not.. thanks in advance?

You still pay state sales tax. Documentation is a coast guard held lien on the title of the boat. Typically, banks want documentation on a boat with a significant loan. In order to sell or transfer title you have to provide proper paperwork to the coast guard.
