What amp?
 

I know nothing about amps, but I bought two 12" subs what do I need for an amp?

I have 4 10" subs and 4 6x9 for my highs it is powered by Memphis car audio marine amp. The Memphis Belle, One amp powers it all.

What kind of subs? Single or dual voice coil? Brand? Where are you mounting them? In an enclosure , under a back seat free air? What is the rating on the speaker? Don't just go buy a amp without looking at the above. The memphis is nice stuff , I have to say there amps are bulletproof. I have them in my truck and boat.

I have one under the back seat in a box, the other one I'm considering puting in the cuddy? They are Olympian warrior 300 watts W-124 4 ohms Hifonics. I just want clear crisp sound not out to win any contests.

Boat guy, Your sub will have one set or two set of hook ups where the wires go into it.. If it has one set it is single voice coil....If it has two it is dual voice coil..This info is needed to know what kind of amp you need..

Also a sub is not gonna give you ..clear....crisp....sound it is bass only!!

The sub has 2 wires coming out of the sub and 4 places for spade connections. I also have 6 6x9s and 2 tweeters powered by a different amp. Appreciate your help

The only sub amps & speakers as far as I am concerned are JL Audio. Put 4 Marine 10" subs on a JL 500 amp, Done!

Get a JL 500/1 or a 250/1

Thanks for the info, I checked out their site, I'm sold. Just need to know which one I will need, the 500/1 or the 250/1. Thanks for your help.
