Drive Question: 28ft / 5300lbs / 750hp - Would a Bravo XR work?
28 Ft V-Bottom with a 750hp Blower Motor...Would a Bravo XR work, or will I be playing the Bravo switching game.

Thanks Guys, But it would be for a "Race Application" - I'm looking into a #3 drive now or maybe lowering the boost.

If you plan to race, the XR and 750hp is bad news. Even being very careful will blow the drive before too long. Been there:drink:

Yep, so it looks. The owner said it has IMCO uppers inside, but that still may not be enough.

Smitty, what about that coating/treatment that you tested on your gears last fall that you were impressed with?----won't that save the day???

I have a customer running a 26' Velocity with a blower motor, I believe he is in the 750-800hp (roots type blower) range and has two seasons on his, since I have seen it in my shop. I also have a customer with 1400hp and 15 hard passes on it this summer, 25' H2X Baja.. looked great when I pulled it down this winter.. So it all depends!!
Just my .02 D*i*c*k |
