Merc 700 Mufflers
 

Went to Miami specifically to see Mercury HP reps and Merc 700 boats and see what mufflers everybodys running, only boat there with 700's and mufflers was the adreniline boat and it had the CMI's Went for a ride in the 47 Fountaion /700's,,,with no muffs LOUD idle, quiet inside the cockpit going along at speed, anybody have any info on mufflers that work and dont kill performance???

Friends runs the 700's with HPI's, thanks for reminding me I am going to ask the Mercury guys that question today at the show

I talked to the Merc guys at the Mercury dock for quite a while about the exhaust situation and the drive {NXT1} BS thats been going around on varius sites,very good info, he suggested CMI's like Fountain is starting to use {clamp-ons} At the Trick booth I saw the Corsa's there and they claim there blessed by Merc, I asked the Merc rep about them later and he had no idea what I was talking about, Formula uses Corsa and I listened to there 382/700 boat and it was still loud

CMI will be offering a new muffler that was designed in conjunction with Sunsation for the 600's/700's that is tuneable via multiple removable inserts. No loss of performance.
