my cable makes a 90 degree bend into the bellhousing.is this normal?i would think it should be a strait shot

That's a Morse 33C type cable with a Merc adapter. The cable in the pic is the one from the control box - the lower cable goes to the drive.

What's the problem?

I have to adjuste it .....cause my drive have 2 to 3 seconde delay before engage ...and the manuel i found is not the same cable ...do you know how i have to adjust it ???
