454 cam

any thoughts on this in a merc 454 with 110 cc aluminam heads. srp pistons 10:1 compression.

Carb or EFI?
What type of exhaust?
Roller or Flat tappet?

I am going to use a Merc/Crane 500EFI cam in the 9:1 454 I am building...

1991 carbed that has been full retro to a roller 1.7 rockers.
i currently have a zz502 cam and am looking for that little extra. Exaust is marine power wet.

The Comp Cams cam you have listed probably has steeper ramps but is not that much bigger than what is in your engine now. I don't think you will see a significant power increase vs. the ZZ502 cam. It may have a better idle with the 112LSA though.
