Hydraulic add on Steering

After installing the Brazil valve do you need to keep the control valve hooked up th the tiller arm or can I disconnect it. ? No instructions. I was told to disconnect the tiller arm to keep it from fighting with the add on cyl. The steering cable goes through the control valve. Not sure how it controls the proportioning vale to change directions.

In a hydraulic system of any sort you need flow control or you get erratic cylinder operation. You need to either leave the tiller arm in place and regulate the airflow in and out the original steering cylinder, or you will need to install flow controls on one end of each external ram. Split the circuit so you have control in both directions.
