500EFI bolt on hp upgrades
 

I am looking at 500Efi boats, what are some of the upgrades I can use to increase HP without going blower, is there a cure for the sooty transom's with these motors? any help would be appreciated. I understand I cant expect huge HP gains without really getting into the motors but some new fuel management and bolt on's would be nice.

I have a new top plenum that will be available soon for the 500 and 525 efi engines and I can also program the ecu's.

Tell me more about upgrades for the 525efi?

I developed a new top for the engines and it has the injector blades built right in the top of the plenum so the air can go straight down the runners and into the intake ports. I should have them ready soon.

So the runners don't cross over to the other bank? how long are the runners? BOB

Yes you keep the bottom part of the manifold. We made a new top that replaces your old top and throttlebody. We have the injector blades built right in the top of the plenum top so the incoming air can go straight down the runners for more power and throttle response.

Yes I picked up up over 30 HP and the same on Torque. It even raised the whole power and torque curves a couple hundred RPM's.

No but I know how to get rid of your old one and put a Mefi 4 on there.

Tom I put it on a 500 EFI with aluminum heads and a little more camshaft and made over 630HP. Stop in Wed on your way thru.

No we would just change your crank pickup to a 58 X and use your coils you already have.

Yes that's before I detuned it because the customer wanted 600HP. :D

Tyler when do you think you will have them ready for the market?

We should have the model cores done next week then they can pour them. I added a little thickness to the top so we can also bolt a supercharger to the top. I hope to have a finished part in 3 weeks.

Will these work on a 502 mpi?

They will only fit the 500 and 525.

So what kind of an increase can a stock hp500efi expect? Any idea on cost?

I talked to my freind at the foundry last week and he promised me a top by the end of Jan.

I did not try it on a bone stock 500 efi just one with bigger cam and better heads where it needed more air. It picked up 35-40 HP and Torque on the one we tested.

The stock heads are the first thing that should be changed on these 500's.
