32ft Advantage boat with twin 540 660hp whats the best way to have drives set up to turn?? IN or out ?? Getting differant opinions. Boat was originally set up from factory with inward turning. Boat has triple step design.

In should give you more speed, but might not handle the best.

I would guess the factory already did the tests and IN gave the best results.

How much bow lift do you have now? Where does the water break on plane?

Installers put drives turning out and the bow has not as much lift as before with them turning in. They said it should handle better turning out. Well it handles better but lost alot of top speed. Boat is pushing nose down now and it never did before. I will make them put it back like it was from Advantage. Thanks for your input

I think your making the right decision under some conditions bow steer could be a problem. You will get used to it around the docks that would be the main handling problem. I would also say thats why your speed scrubbed so bad you need the lift from them spinning in.
