Carb to EFI conversion

I'm installing fuel injection on my '91 27 Fountain, and I need some help. The intake, throttle body, and fuel rails are Cutler, but everything else is Mercury. I don't know what year the stuff was built, but it's supposed to be from a 502. Wiring is falling into place pretty well (I'm sure I'll have questions later). For tonight, I need to know where some fuel lines go. There is a large casting that attaches to the front of the right cylinder head that includes the fuel regulator and fuel cooler. The outlet to the fuel rail is obvious, since the hose hooks up easily. There are 2 other -6 fittings, one should be the inlet from the fuel pump, the other probably a bypass back to the tank? Does the outlet from the fuel rails go through this unit? I also assume the two -4 fittings on the bottom of the unit are for cooling water. There is also a small hose attached to a nipple on the top of the unit.

I'm sure these are dumb questions to some of you, but any help would be appreciated. I'm an experienced auto tech from years ago, but have very little experience with this. Thanks for your help.

by all means call tyler but having said that, do yourself a favor and get the factory mercruiser workshop manual for the 502 that that system came on. regardless of getting it running this minute, you will need all the info in this manual for set up, wiring and diagnostics. i stress the factory manual. the aftermarket stuff doesn't get it done. and start looking for a scanner. youll need it sooner or later. i got mine on ebay cheap. invaluable
