I have just purchased a 1996 27zx Donzi with a low hour 2004 496 HO with Bravo 1 drive running a 21p 4 blade prop. I don't think the boat is reaching its potential max. speed for this size of boat. WOT is 5100 doing 55 mph. This speed seems a bit slow for this motor or is that it? I was hoping to hit about 65 mph. I have a 22' Pachanga 454 which will thump the Donzi . Does anybody have any ideas on this?

I have a 2003 25 outlaw w/ the 496 Mag H.o. I run a 23 pitch 3 blade mirage plus and i can hit 71.3 gps. low fuel 2ppl. in th boat.

I would think 62-65 MPH.

21 Pitch is way underpropped , 5100 is probably at the rev limiter , my 330hp 454 spins a 23 pitch 3 blade to 4800 in a light 24 foot boat to 61 miles per hour

That seems way wrong, I run a stock 26 Bravo 1 4 blade @ 5K and 70 mph on my 288 with H.O.

I know a fellow with a 26' Donzi and the stock 502Mag pushes that boat mid 60s. He spins a 24p Bravo 1.
I'd try a bigger prop.
