more 454 power

What is the best way to get a little more punch out of my 2000 454 (310 hp) multiport injection with a bravo III? I have ~1000 hrs on it and have lost ~ 200 rpm over the years (4600 down to 4400).

Is there an after market chip that would help?

valve job

Valve job will help for sure.
Install the roller cam and valve springs from a Gen VI 454Mag.
Have Tyler Crockett recalibrate your ECU

1000hrs---about time for a full rebuild, not hp increase mods.

I didn't see that part...
You need Rings, Bearings, Oil pump, and Valve Job as a Minimum.

Do hp mods with 1000 hrs and it'll come apart for you ! No tools needed. BOB

Wow, I didn't think it was ready for a full rebuild. It runs strong, tight and no smoke. I guess if I've got it apart for a valve job I may as well do it all.

Thanks for all your input!

I agree...a 1000 hours would probably be rebuild time. A fresh engine will bring your power back to where it was, but if you wanted a little more "punch" beyond that while you're doing the rebuild, then perhaps some bowl/pocket porting/short side radius work on the heads, some aftermarket exhausts, recalibrate/modify the ECU might give you a little more kick . Check with Tyler Crockett---I'm sure he can give you some ideas.

I imagine the top end rebuild will get your rpm back. If you have good oil pressure, and don't burn much oil, that's what I would do.

A good freshen up to start .
