Maryland salvage yard
Anyone know of any marine salvage yards in the MD area? I live around Baltimore an would like to fine one to see if i can get a few parts. I have a 76 superboat and would like to change the interior around and if I could find a newer boat with haul damage I could modify the rear seat for an updated look prior to me taking it to my upholstery person.

I remember hearing about a boat junk yard in dundalk/essex area , couldnt tell you the name but its a start , ask the marina's around there and they will know

I don't know of any in MD.
You can probably fabricate what you need yourself. Post some pics, you'll get a lot of ideas. Call John at Superboat. He might be able to help. |
someone was selling a interior a while back, i think a pantera one. It should work for you. I doubt you will find a wrecked superboat around. (just not alot of them produced)

Thanks for the replies. I thought about making one from scratch, but my uncle did his interior in his Checkmate, and not thinking he junked it and purchased all new from checkmate. After thinking, I could have used his and modified it a bit to make fit. Then, all the foam and wood is there, I just need to perform a nip tuck on it so it fits in my boat.
Any performance boat would do. I think a Baja (they grow on trees around here), cig, donzi, pantera, fountain, or any other manufacture on this forum would be a good canidate for the transplant. Not sure if I can post pics because I am not a premium member, but I will post a link to my website once I upload the pics. jon |
